Day 12: Watching a basketball game in Dallas

October 17th, 2024

On Thursday, October 17, after two typical school days, we headed to the basketball game between the Mavericks and the Bucks. The game started at 7:00 PM, and we met at the Dirk Nowitzki statue outside the stadium at 6:30. Everyone was excited to see the Mavericks put on a great performance—and they did!

We entered the stadium, found our seats, and let me tell you, the atmosphere was fantastic. The announcer did a great job pumping up the crowd, and shortly after we sat down, the game began. It was an intense start, with the announcer making sure the Mavericks knew their fans were behind them.

The first two quarters went well, with the Mavericks comfortably leading the scoreboard. After the halftime break—where people tossed shirts into the crowd—the game resumed, and the Mavericks showed no signs of losing their lead.

When the timer hit zero, the Mavericks were ahead by more than twenty points. Overall, it was a great performance by the Mavericks, and we were happy we got the chance to see it!
