In the morning, we all met at Guyer High School for our trip out West. After having loaded all our luggage, rucksacks, some coolers, balls, slides and shovels onto the bus the adventure started.
It took more than eight hours until we reached New Mexico. The bus stopped at Walmart where we did some crazy shopping. Divided into different groups we stormed the supermarket to find the ingredients for lunch for the following days. With tons of bread, butter, peanut butter, blocks of cheese, fruits, vegetables, water, snacks and ice and a bad conscious because of all the plastic bags we returned to the bus to continue our trip.
We had dinner at a Mexican food stand called La Patrona directly off the Highway. The owner was very nice and let people even climb into her expensive Corvette car. We had some delicious Burritos or Tacos with different fillings and took a group picture.
Nicely fed we arrived at our motel the Whites City Cavern Inn in Carlsbad in the Chihuahuan desert. There four partners shared one room for two nights.
